To accommodate the anticipated influx of approximately 400 million visitors, the Uttar Pradesh government has established a dedicated administrative district in Prayagraj for the duration of the festival. This area spans 40 square kilometers and includes infrastructure such as housing, roads, electricity, water supply, communication towers, and 11 hospitals. Over 20,000 workers are involved in setting up the site, which will feature more than 150,000 temporary toilets to maintain hygiene standards. Security measures include the deployment of over 2,500 cameras and the training of 50,000 personnel in crowd management.

Mahakumbh 2025 : Preparations in full swing over 4600 organisations set up camps
The Kumbh Mela administration, on Sunday, claimed to be taking up preparations on a war-footing level to complete all projects by December 31, as over 4,600 religious, social, and spiritual organisations—being allotted land in all 25 sectors of the Mela campus—work on setting up their grand pandals and tents. Mahakumbh will begin on January 13.
